It says 'Coffee'

Today my friend Alisha and I went out to get coal in a small town near here because Dan and I are out and we don't want to freeze to death tonight. On the way home we stopped at a little store called Silver Dollar. My kitchen is done in a coffee theme. We saw this huge coffee cup setting in the window, one much to large to drink out of, it was just for looks. I asked the lady in the store how much the cup was and she says 'oh the stuff in the window is just to display' I was fine with that and then she goes and gets it and says 'I may be able to sell it to you for 14.99' WAY OUT OF MY PRICE RANGE for a coffee cup. I polietly told her no thank you and she held the cup and kept looking at me saying, "but it is a mug that says coffee." I told her that I wasn't interested and she lowered the price to 12.99. Still no way for a cup. Again, but it is rare. It says coffee on it. She ended up coming down to 9.99 and still did not get it, but the point is, she kept telling us that the cup had the word coffee printed on it. I do not understand why and we did get a good laugh after we left there. I do not know if she thought that we couldn't see it said coffee or if she was only trying to sell us the cup, which she couldn't sell in the first place, because it was a display. She acted like it was such a atrange thing that a cup would have the word coffee on it. I don't know, maybe you just had to be there to get the true humor of it all.
Emily and baby Lily are doing good! I called Emily today and she was feeding the baby and I could hear her eating in the back ground, she sounded so sweet. By the way, I still haven't seen her. Her name is Lilly Beth and she weighs 8lbs 10 1/2 oz, and was 20.5 inches long. She is a big girl!
Well guess I better go cook supper! Talk to you all later!

Brandy,

I'm sorry for the confusion and my goodness, I wouldn't be angry with you for that. We all make mistakes and it looks like this one was mine. My sincere apologies.

Blessings,

Hi Brandy,
That was really a hilarious episode you had there. I also cannot see the point why the lady kept on pointing to the word coffee at the oversized coffee mug that was obviously meant for display only. And to think that she told you at first that the coffee mug was not for sale and was placed there only for display, only to pressure sell the mug later on for an ever decreasing price. What a riot that was. Well these things happen in life. At least it lightens up our day. Thanks for the amusing post. God bless you and your family always.

Good Morning Brandy,
I had come by here yesterday morning and you hadn't posted yet. My DH finally got home around 4:15a.m. yesterday morning. I had been up all night and didn't go to sleep. After I took the girls to School, I came home and went back to bed. I got up at 11:30a.m. because my DH wanted me to get him up at 11:45a.m. Just as I was coming into the kitchen to make some coffee, his Uncle came knocking on the door. Their driver manager had called his Uncle and said they wouldn't be going up North as planned. All loads had been cancelled. The place where they get their loads is right next to the DHC Logistics Warehouse that got hit hard in Memphis the other day. So, my DH is home until early Sunday morning. That was strange that that woman kept trying to sell you that cup and it was suppose to be for display. I wonder if she can say anything else besides, It says coffee? LOL. Then again, she may have been trying to make her some pocket change too. One never knows. I bet your kitchen is beautiful. I've never seen a coffee themed kitchen before. I don't know if I will get a post up today or not. It was late when I went to bed this morning so after I take the girls to School, I may go back to bed. I'm glad Emily and Lilly is doing good. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
