Wish I were sleeping

Oh what a wonderful day to sleep! It is raining outside and it sounds so pretty on out tin roof. The kids are at school and Dan is in the bed. Its so peaceful. Its also kinda chilly in here which makes me want to just snuggle right down under the covers as far as I can go without my feet hanging out the bottom!

Unfortunately sleep does not come easy around here. I am so tired but I have already tried to lay back down this morning, got all warm and what do you think happens? Well, if you guess the phone rang, then you are right! It was my dear little Kirkland.

Picture 037

This morning before school his zipper got stuck and would not zip all the way up. Well apparently, his zipper busted out. His shirt barely covered it and he is a very conservative little boy. For the second time today, the first because we missed the bus, I had to venture out into the rain to take him some pants. When I got to the school, I could see him through the window on the door. He had this look on his face of pure worry, it was almost as if he was thinking 'oh no, i just know everyone can see my drawers'. He looked pitiful. When he saw me with his pants his little face just lit up. Once again Mighty Mom has saved the day.
One day I will have to tell you all about Mighty Mom and Dino Dad, that will be a whole different blog!

Poor little Kirk! It's funny how things bother us so much when we're kids and have so much peer pressure! I'm glad you braved this cold rain to take him more pants!!

Love ya,
Aunt Hopie

Good Afternoon Brandy,
Well it was raining here this morning after I did my post and I went back to bed as well. I didn't get to stay there long as I had to venture out in the cold and go up town to take care of some business for DH. He had called me and wanted me to do something for him. So, I know what you mean. I did come back and got me a short nap. The Award I have for you is the Great Blog Award - 2007 Inspiring Blog. You should see it on my today's post. I'm glad you ventured out as well and took Kirk some pants. What would these kids do without their Mom's? Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
